Jonathan Katz is running for Mayor because he wants to keep Hamden residents in their homes.

A Message from Jonathan

Hamden deserves better.

For too long, we’ve watched as reckless spending, short-term thinking, and a lack of vision have held our community back. It’s time for leadership that puts fiscal responsibility first, fosters innovation, and empowers our people — not a political agenda.

As a lifelong Hamden resident and the grandson of a family that has called this town home for three generations, I believe in Hamden’s potential. Together, we can build a town where families thrive, businesses prosper, and government works for the people.

We have a vision for our future. Let's build it  — together.

A New Vision — 5 Pillars for Hamden’s Future

Specific policy initiatives can be found by clicking here.

Put Fiscal Responsibility First

Implement a forensic financial audit, end reckless spending, and restore transparency and accountability to the town’s budgeting practices.

Encourage Economic Empowerment

Prioritize small business success and attracting outside investment through strategic fiscal and economic policies, in turn, growing our commercial sector and relieving the tax burden on our residents.

Create Community-Centered Innovation

Foster organic local growth that gives back to our community by investing in Hamden’s existing businesses and entrepreneurs.

Invest in Our Youth

Focus on expanding after-school programs, youth initiatives, and family programming that will prepare the next generation for success.

Lead a Proactive Government

Shift Hamden from reactive policymaking and half-measures to a forward-thinking, problem-solving approach.

Join our movement.

Together, we can take Hamden back — and move it forward.
